From community members and nonprofits to funders and government entities gain insights and resources that will build on dialogue around collaboration and how we can collectively work together to further your missions and the impact made in our communities. Workshops will include:
- 9:00 am: Welcome
- 9:30 am: Coffee and Conversations presented by AFP Greater Philadelphia Chapter | Join AFPGPC for a frank and candid discussion of systemic racism, white privilege, and bias. Be prepared to share, listen, and learn with fundraising professionals from across the Philadelphia region. Moderators Cassandra Hayes, Doris Parent, and Simone Jeffers will guide the discussion.
- 10:45 am: Advancing Philanthropy: Elevating Immigrant communities in the Philadelphia Area Panel discussion presented by The Welcoming Center | Join The Welcoming Center for a lively panel discussion on innovative ways of helping immigrants: Participatory philanthropy, fiscal sponsorship and other ideas. Panelist will include Ludy Soderman - Director, Multilingual Family Support Office at School District of Philadelphia, and Board Member of the Douty Foundation, Caitlin O’Brien – Director of Learning and Community Impact at the Scattergood Foundation, Eric Edi – President of AFRICOM, and Ben Goebel – Welcoming Center Staff and Member of I Belong
- 12:00 pm: Intentional Capacity Building presented by Civic Capital Consulting | Join Civic Capital Consulting for an interactive discussion and workshop on how nonprofits and philanthropic organizations and intentionally build capacity for sustainability and true impact in the communities they serve. Moderators include Monique Curry-Mims, Principal and Foudner of Civic Capital Consulting and Marcus Iannozzi, Principal and Founder of Message Agency.
