About The Event
It is essential that organizations understand how to express inclusivity in their language, whether writing a press release, developing marketing collateral, or sharing a company-wide statement. And it is important to remember that antiracist communications tools can be used with internal and external audiences and with digital and traditional media. While many of us have seen companies struggle, as well as thrive, while communicating goals of diversity and inclusion, it is important that we come together and identify next steps for even stronger communications. Join us to learn:
- Key considerations for marketing to diverse audiences and employees, including language and visuals
- Important questions to ask your leadership when identifying goals and messaging
- Considerations to avoid being performative when putting out a statement
- Bringing your company’s values to life
Brandyn Campbell helps companies articulate and build their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through their communications. She works closely with organizational leaders and to identify best practices to communicate with and attract diverse audiences and employees, and provides guidance in navigating the line between authentic and performative in statements related to race, justice, violence, or other concurrent crisis. Ms. Campbell also helps design strategies to ensure that companies have meaningful action to accompany their words.
This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for full communications and marketing teams to join together to address internal and external goals and needs for developing antiracist, authentic, and meaningful communications
